The new owners of Plas Glynllifon are undertaking a multi million pound refurbishment and development of the Historic Glynllifon Manor near Caernarfon
Ancestral Home of The Lords Newborough, and venue of HRH Charles, Prince of Wales' investiture Ball in 1969, we are now over a year into the ambitious renovation of this Classical, Grade 1 listed Regency Mansion on the outskirts of Caernarfon in North Wales.
Public Consultation and Official Open Days - 24th & 25th June 2018
Our first Official Public Consultation and Open Days were a resounding success, with an overwhelmingly positive response from the thousands who turned out, on a blisteringly hot day, to look around the restoration works completed to date, and to provide their feedback and opinions on both this work, and our future plans. More information is available on our News Page.
If you'd like to read the official Public Consultation & Open Day press release it's available to view online Here, and if you have any questions, suggestions or comments regarding this press release you can drop us a line via either our Contact or Facebook pages.
May 2018 Press Release
We have issued a Press Release which outlines our ongoing plans for the site and grounds. You can view a copy of this release here. Over the coming weeks we will be updating our site with additional content regarding our long term plans. We will also be announcing details of our first Open Day, scheduled for the summer.
The development project is being overseen by The Plas Glynllifon Group, who have also recently acquired Plas Brereton & Plas Ty Coch in Caernarfon, and already operate the popular Seiont Manor in nearby Snowdonia, amongst other properties.
Due to open in 2020 as a Luxury Hotel, Resort and Heritage Centre, there is still much work to be done to bring this stunning old building back to its former splendour after years of neglect. Our News & Media Page shows examples of the initial condition of the building, as well as some of the other issues we faced when we first entered the property, and goes on to show how we have resolved these issues and significantly improved the overall condition of Plas Glynllifon, with images and videos of its current state.
This website, much like the refurbishment project itself, is very much an ongoing process and will detail our current progress and future plans for the Manor and its extensive Grounds..
